Frequently Asked Questions

I am a cash-based practice, which means I don't bill insurance directly. Many people find that working outside of insurance allows for more personalized, unhurried care without the limitations that come with coverage restrictions. My services are eligible for reimbursement through HSA and FSA accounts, so if you have one of those, you can absolutely use it toward your sessions. If you'd like to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement, I'm happy to provide a superbill upon request.

Loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily is your best bet. Think athletic wear or anything you'd feel comfortable moving around in. Depending on where we're working, I may need access to certain areas of the body, so layers you can easily adjust are helpful.

You can book directly through the scheduling link on this site. If you have questions before booking or want to talk through whether this is the right fit, feel free to reach out through the contact page and we can connect first.

Minnesota is a direct access state, which means most people can come see a physical therapist without a physician referral. If you have questions about your specific situation, reach out and we can talk through it before you book.

Your first visit starts with a conversation. I want to understand your history, what you've tried, what's worked, what hasn't, and what you're hoping to get out of our time together. From there we move into a full-body assessment, where I look at how everything is moving and working together, not just the area that hurts. Most people leave their first session with a sense that something is already shifting, even if it's subtle. That's a good sign.

Honestly, it depends. Every body is different, and I won't give you a number that isn't true for you. What I can tell you is that most people notice something shifting relatively quickly, sometimes even after the first session. It might be subtle at first, a morning where the pain isn't the first thing you notice, or a movement that feels a little different than it did before. How many sessions you'll need depends on what we find, how your body responds, and what your goals are. We'll talk through that together as we go.
